May last Brexit meeting with the heads of the EU was a disaster It's hard to escape the conclusion that the leading Brexiteers are psychopathic nutters.
Presumably these wrecking tactics are intended to further the Brexiteers' real aim of a no-deal exit from the EU - the so-called 'clean Brexit'. But the cost of such an exit for the UK would be terrible.

This has been completely supressed in the British press but has now been leaked by a German paper .The UK’s eventual exit from the EU is looking more and more likely to be a train wreck. The Brexiteers in Prime Minister Theresa May’s administration are living in a fantasy world. And although May herself comes across as sensible and pragmatic, it now appears that she is as deluded as they are.
Last Wednesday, April 25th, May met the President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, for dinner in London. Senior members of the British and EU negotiating teams were also present.
The dinner was a total disaster. But just how badly it went, at least from the European Commission’s point of view, has only just been revealed.See link below.

Fundamentally, the problem is that what we need is a win-win solution.
But the Brexiters, and May - and the Mail etc - are fixated with the idea that Britain 'winning' must mean 'defeating' Europe, in a clearly win-lose scenario.
Brexiters seem determined to paint leaving as as a rerun of the last War. Forgetting of course that the EU was set up precisely to avoid all the downsides that come with choosing war over co-operation.
The Brexiters seem to forget that it is not 1945 and we no longer have an Empire. And that if it's not in the interest of the other 27 countries in Europe to work with us, they won't. And we can't 'make' them.
And threatening them will just make them think we are complete idiots - and rude ones, to boot. Thus making any eventual deal less likely and less in our favour.
What a bunch of idiots the Brexiters are.

not really, it only shows the bullying, delusional and nasty behaviour of an unelected alcoholic Mr Juncker who clearly has no idea how to conduct negotiations. If it ends badly it won't be our fault.

The EU is not taking a hard line, merely working as a union to protect its interests and the interests of its citizens here. That much should have been very evident the moment the Union Jack was taken down outside the EU HQ in Brussels. Too many little Englanders think somehow this is a re-run of Dad's Army which 48% didn't vote for on the day or 63% of the voting population at all, however you want to count it. This list of little Englanders includes Michael Howard, whose dad was a Romanian Jew called Hecht, who wants young people to die fighting Spain over Gibraltar. It includes Nigel Lawson, the grandson of a Latvian Jew called Leibson, who says we don't need Romanian fruit-pickers, but who was perfectly okay about triggering the 1990 recession. It includes racists like Adam Afriye, Priti Patel ("BREXIT means it will be easy for auntie from Pakistan to come here"), Jayawardene and many other black and brown racist Tory MPs. It also includes posh-boy IDS (granny was Japanese) and posh-boy BoJo (grand-dad was Turkish). People of the UK, you have been fooled.

In preventing May from taking part in a live TV debate with Corbyn, then isn't that a tacit acknowledgement that the Tories themselves believe that May is weak and that Corbyn has the better case and is able to deliver it to the British public more robustly ?
Why then are the Tories concealing their deception and dishonesty when their own opinion evidently points to May being a weak PM, while attempting to sell May to the UK public as 'a safe pair of hands' ?
If May cannot deal adequately and confidently in a live TV debate with Corbyn, then what hope is there that May can deal adequately and confidently in negotiations with international leaders including the EU elite ?
It seems to me to be at best, a hoping for the best, while stumbling into the unknown, with no organised and coherent strategy, with no escape clause, no brake, no insurance, no plan B, no exit strategy, no compromise, no expectation, no commitment and a total lack of political awareness on behalf of the UK government under May.
Juncker, Merkel and Tusk are correct. May has not only 'hugely miscalculated', but also, she is utterly 'deluded'.
Insincere, and insecure.
The EU will 'crucify' not only May, but the UK too.
May, is out of her depth.
