Am I the only one fed up of the offhand service at Malling petrol station? I waited ages to report that the car wash wasn't working while the queue built up behind me and the other "customer service assistant" had a liesurely conversation with her friend, ignoring me. Which decade do these people live in? 1960s? They should be sent to Screwfix to learn what customer service should be in 2017.

I agree. They're generally crap. If a queue builds up, they don't exactly spring into action. I only go there if I need something from M&S.

I only go there because of the car wash. When it isn't working (frequently) they fail to put up a sign to that effect so you have to go into the shop to find out. Typical. They couldn't care less.

Petrol prices well above even the Tesco round the corner, which is in turn well above cheap Tesco garages like Eastbourne.
M&S prices above motorway service area M&S outlets.
Poor customer service.
Car wash often out of action.
All adds up to a pretty clear picture; values set at the top reflected at the bottom.
Why go there? well, they have a free cash machine with handy parking. Can't think of another reason.

They are quite simply the most miserable bunch on gods earth. Sometimes I stand in the wrong lane and order a coffee just to annoy them.

Why use it? If you're driving you are very likely to pass another one. I always get a cheery welcome at Clayhill.

I've not noticed the reported low levels of customer service at this petrol station, compared to any other. Sometimes "customers" are also a bunch of whiny, entitled, brats.
