Has anyone been to Love Supreme before.
I'm thinking of getting tickets but is it worth it. I know Van (the Man) Morrison and Chaka Khan are playing which should make it worthwhile but what about the rest of it?

Lewes Live all the way for me. Much better VFM. Good cheap local Ales, free camping, good music and a great atmosphere.

Last year I did 3 festivals in July, Love Supreme, Lewes Live and Chiddfest.
The best weekend by far was at Lewes Live although Chiddfest was really good as well.
Love Suprerme would have been ok but for the price of everything ( £20 to park my car ) and I'm afraid to say the people that attended. It reminded me of proms in the park that I once attended at Leeds castle. people were sat round on posh garden furniture with pic nic hampers drinking wine.
Weekend tickets for Love Supreme are £148.50, Lewes Live £40, Chiddfest £50, I would go to the latter two and use the £60 I have saved to swell my ale fund which at £3.50 a pint of Harveys at Lewes Live will go a very long way.

£4.50 to use a cash card machine at Love Supreme. £10+ for a burger. You can't take your own drinks in. Rip off.

Friends have been the last two years and said it was great. The line up is brilliant this year. I've already booked. When Lewes live manage that sort of line up I'll join them in the bog.
Car parking this year is £11 by the way and there's a shuttle bus to Lewes and Brighton. You can take your own drink in plastic containers (if camping). This is standard for ANY festival.
Talking of village festivals, I saw a great jazz player (sax) in Chiddingly a few years ago called Arin Ghosh. Stunning. Didn't know anything about him beforehand, but that's what's great about festivals - you always discover someone new to you.
So give Love Supreme a go. And Lewes live!

Belladonna you can't take your own drinks into the music area from the campsite. You have to buy tins for a fiver at the bar.
Ignore me Red, I'm getting old and miserable and don't enjoy festivals any more.
