Several shops are selling reuseable cotton bags for £3 in an attempt to encourage Lewesians to become plastic bag free.
How many of you are aware that our local brewery has been selling reuseable cotton bags for quite some time (with their logo on the side), AND they only charge £1.75. I don't know who is pocketing the additional £1.25, but I know which bag I prefer to buy and use.

Do Tesco and Waitrose sell them ????....if not, it's a waste of time.

Good Ole Harvey's - a local company that understands how to support and promote the town. In turn we should support and promote them - I shall proudly purchase my bag tomorrow (then go shopping in Waitrose).

What will I put my rubbish in if I don't have plastic bags from tescos?

Why do you think Tescos and Waitrose do it???
What will they do with the extra money they make from additional plastic bag sales?

I know they don't they sell them.....the reason i asked (somewhat tongue in cheek) is that supermarkets are the biggest providers of plastic carrier bags and it will only be the big supermarkets that make any impact....not some tin pot little shop that sells 5 things a week !

My new cotton bag from Harvey's is great as I can now carry my groceries on my shoulder and this is not only more comfortable, but also saves strain on my back as my goodies are carried closer to my centre of gravity. Brilliant!
Plastic bags from shops remain essential for me as I use them for my rubbish. To dispense of them would require me to purchase others.

Do I have to spoon feed you? Alright then. Google "Boris Arcuri's flat pole" more
If you lend someone £20 and don't see them again it was probably worth it.
