I keep seeing Lewes Delaware popping up all over the place, I think it's even in a county in the states called East Sussex.
Has anyone been there? and if so what's it like?

Been there, really lovely small, quiet seaboard town, with a pub full of Harveys stuff!
The town hall and police station are in one small, colonial type building and the police chief and mayor were the same person. The people are really friendly and thrilled to meet people from Lewes, England.

It is in Sussex county, Delaware, with lots of other small towns with familiar names around it. Very pretty, as Dave says, and everyone very friendly if you say you are from Lewes, England. The odd thing is that in Delaware Lewes is on the coast, with a beach and a ferry to New Jersey, but Newhaven is several miles inland.
