Something like that anyway �but sadly ,not all fears are unfounded . When the English began to perceive that an Ed Milliband government would hand undue influence to an SNP and could not trust them not to vote on English issues ( as they promised ) they were quite right
They have since justified voting on everything from the English NHS to foxhunting and are now resisting a Liberalization of English Sunday trading laws
Their rationale for this is that if a large embedded neighboring economy like England and Wales changes its rules, it would immediately have a knock in affect in Scotland. Fair point, it undermines the case for Scottish Independence of course but still �.
Quite what lesson one draws from this I wouldn`t like to say , can anyone think of a massive neighboring economy whose decisions will immediately affect us whether or not we choose to have any right to affect them ?
