Laura Ashley Car Park

I bought a ticket for one hour at the Laura Ashley store in Lewes. Received a notice about a month later for a PCN of £100. I appealed this as I had bought a ticket to park and believed this was a pay and display parking area. The company's response was that I had parked on a "BCR" Bay for permit holders only. How was I to know? This is very sneaky and deceptive. Not sure if I should ignore this or appeal further or pay the fine.

It's a bit like bonfire, Aqua, Maria Caulfield and Brexit; - you really would think that there would be more interest, but apparently not.
Ah well.

Dunno whats wrong with some people, try to help save someone £100 for a unfair charge and get several thumbs down. Will go back to help others to appreciate it.

To the OP, not sure if the PPC are members of the BPA ot IPC. Did you get a POPLA code with your rejection? If they are BPA members, it is worth appealing, if IPC and the infamous kangeroo court the IAS, ignore.

They are registered with BPA and IPC. I got caught as well and have appealed through both, but no outcome yet.
