I'm having a great week I've not seen or heard of Yellow Fiat for a while. Has the car been inpounded or the feral scumbag been locked up? Also I've only spotted tw*t in the Nova once or twice this week - be warned he was showing off his new sound system to his mate! ie one large speaker in the boot.

All of that group stick out like a sore thumb because they look physically different - like some missing link between modern man and the Neanderthals.
They might have Foetal Alcohol Syndrome - a facial type that's common in chavs caused by the mother drinking when pregnant. Symptoms are a sort of 'ratboy' face and low IQ. If that's the case, I suppose we should feel a little compassion (before slashing their tyres).

There is another menace (and his mate) trying to act the hard biker on his pathetic yellow moped - could that be the moped the original knob-rot was chasing?
Dr Creaky - love your post - a man/woman after my own heart!

They seem to have been hanging around in the car park behind Superdrug lately, funny looking aren't they? It must have been a very small genepool the crawled out of.
That's all we need a bunch of Nevil knobheads invading lovely little Cliffe

We all hung around in little gangs when we were teens so lets be a little fairer here. These may or may not cause trouble if they do they deserve to get done, guilty until proven innocent I think its called. Dont get me wrong, I am not standing up for these oiks, I am however complaining about the lack of police presence that may be influential like it used to be.

Janet Street Preacher, please note not everyone from Nevill is a knobhead! Hopefully you mean just the ones in the yellow car

Ms Preacher should also note that these kids come from all over Lewes not just the Nevill and as Taff said teenagers will always gather so why should the Cliffe be spared it's share of them, they can be a real nuisance but there is no provision for these kids in this town, boredom has always been a catalyst for yobbish behaviour, coupled with totally incompetent policing and disinterested parents it will continue to be a problem.

There is a lot more to do in Lewes now than there was when I was these kids age - swimming pool, sports centre, skate park, All Saints cinema etc... Not to mention the much higher disposable income and credit available to buy cars/mopeds etc with, (yes even to low earners or those on benefts), compared with those in a similar position 20-30 years ago. The difference is that when we were kids, if we stepped out of line we would have either got a wallop from our parents, or teachers, or would have been pulled up by the local PC. All of this installed a bit of respect. The only PC in evidence these days is the PC brigade who make excuses for these idiots. It doesnt matter what facilities are made available for these people as they still wont use them. The fact is that they consider being yobbish and disrespectful as their entertainment because they consider it cool and clever, and they are not interested in anything else. Furthermore they are allowed to get away with it.

The local PC. Now theres a thing of the past. I remeber getting in to a bit of bother when younger and our local bobby got involved. If fear can be regarded as a form of respect, even if only partly I can tell you that apart from the bobby himself I knew that there was every chance that he could/would have a chat with my dad or grandad about it, probably socially in the pub over a pint then i would have to suffer their wrath as well. Today our bobbies come from all over and NOT Lewes so local knowledge and family contact has been lost. Thank the Tories for that I think.
Big shame though because as a sytem it kind of worked.

These days talking to the parents is of little use, in my experience you just get further abuse, no political party is responsible for that, respect for others should be taught in the home.

I think you just hit the nail on the head disgruntled. Respect taught at home. More like home reflection practised outdoors if you ask me.

Yes, these days the police seem to respond to crimes rather than trying to prevent them. I don't blame the police, just the politicians who are all talk and no action.
By the way, I was shouted at by the occupants of the yellow Cinquecento as I walked through town today. It was harmless stuff, but I'm annoyed that they seem to think that they can do what they like without any repercussions.
