No particular place as far as im aware but you'll get people meeting all over the town. Pells, Paddock and malling, all have busy parks where families take the kids.
Avoid landport...full of bigger kids playing football and neville is to far out and has a bad chav element.

There's no play equipment, but Grange Gardens is lovely for kids and is enjoyed by many families.

theres a few play areas
Bell Lane - always seems a bit empty, the park area bordered by busy road
Paddock - fairly central but limited play equipment, adjacent to Baxters fields
The Grange - great for young families and picnics, but no play equipment
Pells - small park, decent playground
Malling field - used by lots of kids of all ages - playground and skate park plus football pitches etc.
There's also the Priory - no play equipment, but ruins and a nice walk, good for picnics.
Secondary school kids tend to hang out in all these places, for older teens, Malling field and The Grange seem to be the most popular.
