Is it failing in the same place all the time? And are you sure it is actually failing? What kind of message are you getting?

Lastly, is your internet connection secure or does it regularly drop out? My connection seems to get very slow in the early evening, which I think is probably down to lots of people coming home and going online. That said, most download clients should be able to cope by picking up where they left off.
