Her voting was predictably awful. I suspect Hamid Barr will approve of these votes and feel very represented about the UK withdrawing from the world into the hermit kingdom. It's somewhat ironic that people (hapless brexiters) who claim to be patriotic, approve Britain of having a diminished standing on the world stage.

You really are on a roll today greenie, a matchless example of the Frankfurt School's "critical method" -- just criticise and ridicule, never say anything definite yourself, stick to vague concepts like "progressive", "diversity" and such and you can be a very effective change agent. Just don't say what that change is.

@tom pain, careful you don't trespass into the zone of hypocrisy there. (And wouldn't be the first time)

There is little point in arguing with brexiters, but it's somewhat satisfying blaming and ridiculing them for this mess. A bunch of credulous fools, relentlessly parroting phrases like "take back control" like zombies, with a totally warped view of the EU, and of Britain's relevance today.

Where's Paul Newman these days?
Perhaps he's emigrated or self-combusted in despair over the bungling of Brexit.
I do miss his comments.

I don't think you can blame brexiters for the mess. The government asked, the people replied ,then the government fouled it all up. I think the credulous fools you mention are all of us expecting the government to represent us.

Can totally blame brexiters for mess. The brexiter faction of the tory party was the reason for the vote. The brexit supporting MPs and campaigns lied about the reality of brexit. The brexit voters ignored a lot of basic lies about our relationship with EU and lies about the future.

After the election the brexiter MPs and many voters have decided that certain forms of brexit as advertised and campaigned on actually aren't brexit. They have blamed the EU for 3 years for their own basic misunderstanding that close trade equals close regulatory alignment.

Given they removed many forms of brexit and their lies have been uncovered they have found their slim majority turn into a minority yet still persist with the claim they are holding some sort of moral highground.

Brexiters are a joke, hiding behind their prideful ignorance. Like the Iraq war, give it 20 years and everyone will claim they were against it.

The government lied to us to get us into the EEC in the full knowledge that it was more than just an economic union. Now they're lying to get us out -- what a surprise.
