Its curious how these vape machines/pens used by tobacco addicts seem to generate so much cloud vapour. Its almost a novelty/gimmick as to which device can create the most vape.

I'm in favour of vapourisers becoming more normalised, as its certainly a lot healthier than smoking, but I can see why people might be annoyed by plumes of vapour clouding up a room. I think the issue is with manufacturers of the e-cig liquid style vapourisers. Mine just vapes dry bud, and it doesn't create anywhere near the visible smog (plus i do it privately not in public)!

Definitely shouldn't be allowed in such a small pub, the vape fumes are an irritant to the throat. I won't be going to the Gardeners until the ban is in place.

The Gardeners Arms only sells vinegar on draft anyway.

To be fair, vaping indoors (in enclosed public spaces) probably should be prohibited. There are plenty of good arguments for doing so, apart from when alcohol drinkers are hypocritically moaning about the potential health risks associated with it!

Yeah, seems some of the chemical flavourings found in e-cigarettes may have some links with lung issues, but looks like thats been removed from many brands already as a precaution. I'm glad I never got in on the whole e-cig things. I'm just pure natural green herb all the way and it is boooo-tiful.

The Gardeners sells six real ales and one real cider on draught. A good place for the discerning drinker.

Normal cigarettes also contain the same popcorn-lung inducing chemical, if not in greater quantities.

But it's such an uncomfortable pub, isn't it? I go there occasionally when I've got friends staying who enjoy their beer, but physically it's such an uncomfortable place to be in. I know we're supposed to take our pleasures sadly, but...

Great Beer but I don't use it as often as I would like as I always feel dirtier when I come out.
I particularly dislike like the Men's Loo, slipping around on that horrible floor. When I need to pee I normally move to another pub!

Love the Gardeners, yes its a bit grubby, but it has real character. There are plenty of identikit boozers in and around Lewes, we should be cherishing the proper ones before they all disappear.

Clifford, why not take your friends to that other traditional pub in Lewes- with the same good range of drinks- the Brewers'? Plenty of seating most times, and no vaping, dogs or soggy beer mats.
