Just seen them issuing tickets to cars on double yellows outside the Elly - at gone 9pm!
And before someone pipes up about it being illegal or dangerous, I'd point out that there was recently a skip in exactly the same place for a few weeks without anyone moving it, so it certainly isn't a dangerous position. No tolerance these days towards the easy sources of revenue, whereas anything slightly harder to target is ignored...

Last week I witnessed the parking machine money collectors park on the corner of a junction( Which is Illegal whoever you are) and collect the money. I was kicking myself that I didn't have a camera with me.

Indeed, they park where they like. On another point, why does it take two of them to empty the machines?? If it's security then I'd have thought using two 60 plus old f@rts is not the best idea they've had.

I saw a mobile squad park up illegally on a corner to slap a ticket on a car back up the road and whilst they were away from the vehicle, a foot soldier slap a ticket on their car. When they came rushing back, he said "Too late boys, it's in the system!" - I laughed so hard

Arn't double yellows never ever ever park here ever anytime ? And isn't the only zebra crossing in Lewes outside the Elly ? I suspect that's why they issued them, but surprise they working so late. Hope they are on overtime !

There's a second zebra crossing by the hospital.
A chap stopped me today asnd kindly pointed out that the ticket I had just just put on my dashboard had slipped so close to the windscreen that it was partly obscured by the black shading ay the bottom of the glass. He'd been ticketed for the self-same thing a few weeks ago.

eh - the car was parked near the corner of St John's Terrace where, as I said, there had been a skip for weeks without issue...

If you park on double yellow lines, anytime, you get a ticket. I thought everyone knew that. Though really underhand of the parking wardens to use that ancient law to their own advantage.

I have been told in the past that you have up to six minutes to park on double yellows, unless you are causing an obstruction. This is to remove any doubt that the vehicle is not disabled (by that I mean un-moveable).
