Dodgy Blue Badge

Just observed a couple of builders doing work on my neighbour's property today and parking for free with a blue badge. They drove a big white van with no less than 3 ladders on the roof. Anyone know if they're local? They had a big Albion footie badge in the window. I don't like the parking scheme, and I know people need to do a job, but I don't see local business people taking advantage of a social courtesy like this.

just to stoke the dying embers of a long forgotten fire, perhaps you should asked lewesianne as she thought it was acceptable to park in disabled bays at tescos. Light the touch paper and stand well back.....

if they're all empty and all the others are full - I cannot ever see the day when 37 disabled drivers are going to arrive consecutively...

very hard for the parking attendants to catch a blue badge holder unless the badge has been tampered with and its clear that its Dodgy the parking guys cant do anything the badges can be brought in pubs all over the place it could be that this builder has a heart complaint remember the boys in blue are not doctors but new measures are being put into place next year the parking guys will be able to swipe the badge with a reader they can then tell if the badge is stolen or if its granny's that died 2 years ago a lot of information will be at hand to the parking attendants if then they think its still Dodgy they can radio to the police and they will inspect it in front of the so called owner £1000 fine and badge taken away and possibly more

Will swiping this (chipped?) badge also tell you what the owner ate for breakfast last Tuesday? More state control, more monitoring by big brother, that's why there's no cash for public transport. (I agree with the new blue-badge systems - just didn't realise it was going to be an ID Card in disguise).

My cousin who is in his seventies has recently been given a blue badge because of his heart problem. He parked in Lewes and unfortunately placed the badge photo up. When he returned the parking attendant was making out a fine and carried on even though he could see it was genuine. My cousin appealed and they turned it down saying he would still have to pay the fine. Why are the council allowing this injustice to happen. PRATS!
