Click here to see the sort of filthy unfair stunts Corbyn is likely to pull, and the failing state we're going to become if he gets elected. Nothing good ever came from left wing politics.

This is what people have been saying on here for ages , although I do not really get involved with political debate we can all see the damage that this country will incur if we let labour in .everything we hold dear or enjoy will be slowly taken away until we are an Arab state Mark my words

Saw a cartoon recently. Child says "When I'm grown up I want to be a Socialist." Mother says "One or the other, dear. You can't be both!"

Really interesting piece. Until Jeremy Corbyn appeared we were never given access to alternative solutions. Iceland has done well whilst avoiding the 'austerity' fabrication and continuing to look after their poor. I particularly like the point about letting banks fail like any other business when it goes bankrupt. Iceland refused to bail out their banks despite as I remember it, ridiculously bad press from our predominantly right wing media.
Meanwhile our Eton boys have made another undignified raid on our poor by withdrawing grants to the poorest undergraduates. We really are two nations now.

I can't believe that people like aren't locked up for sedition. If you genuinely think a country's economic recovery is more important than the maintenance and strengthening of existing wealth and power structures, if you genuinely think that our oligarchs shouldn't be showered with tax funded bonuses for bringing the economy to its knees, there's something seriously wrong with you. That sort of Corbynist thinking should be illegal. That's why I'm voting Tory again.

Only the Free Market right wanted to let the banks fail here. Labour were right to ignore them. It has cost the country about 5bn interest out the £1.6 trillion spend pa. The Public did, however run the risk of shouldering £ 750 bn of guarantees, none of which were called upon. The endlessly repeated myth that instead of funding services we gave money to banks is a lie.
On Iceland; letting the banks fail was a decision to let the Banks’s customers take the bath. Prominent amongst these were UK Councils, the only people stupid enough to believe their “deals”.
Iceland had followed an uber-capitalist small state model frequently praised by Daniel Hannah as is their supposed independence of the EU ( not true they are in the EEA) . Their state spend as a proportion of GDP was less than ours even in 2013 although their National debt did peak above 100%. Prior to that spending was closer to US levels and that is where they are once again headed under the Independence Party and their free market piratical traditions .
I suppose there may be countries less likely to be produced as socialist utopias but I cannot off the top of my head think of one. As its population is about the size of Crawley it’s hardly germane anyway
PS
I must thank JC for his idea that we should build subs, send them out with nothing in them, and a promise that, even if there was, we would never use it ! If anyone would explain to me the difference between this, and the ravings of congenital idiot I would be grateful.

Paul, you seem to be fundamentally unable to post a comment that doesn't get overwhelmingly down voted. You are doing our cause a disservice and for that reason alone I'm going to politely ask you to stfu and let us that know what were talking about do the job properly.
