Digital TV?
This morning I awoke to find I could only receive the BBC channels!
I retuned the TV but NO. I can't find anymore.
Does anyone know whats going on with the TV reception in the vicinity of Castle Banks?

No it isn't TV.
I have retuned the TV and I'm still only getting 22 BBC Radio and TV channels.
I bought a digital TV some time ago...
Thanks TV

While I'm at it does anyone know if you can get a Samsung Digital TV to pause?
Its a handy feature for the tea run.
On my computer when watching FreeView you can pause programmes so I don't know why Samsung haven't put this feature with their TV's.
Maybe it's all in the remote and I have to buy an upgrade?

Dog in a Cape: Perhaps your relay transmitter hasn't been switched over yet. I believe they should be all up and running mid morning (fingers crossed).

Dunno about the retuning malarkey. Can suggest that to pause live tv you need to have a hard disc recording the live stream? So unless you have a PVR attached to your Samsung, or Samsung have installed a hard disc inside your telly then you're out of luck.

Oh well. I should of paid more attention when buying the TV, I wouldn't have bought this model. It wasn't that cheap as well.
So just the two BBC channels at the time being..
Thanks SQ and TV

The ITV and C4 signals have been switched off, but according to DigitalUK the new digital channels won't switch on till "mid morning". So wait till around lunchtime and try retuning again. Usually being able to pause live TV involves some kind of set top box (or the software you use on your computer). Like TIVO, or Sky+ or one of the many freeview PVRs (recorders) that are out there. It's unlikely a regular digital TV will be able to do it, unless that's something they advertised as a feature. To do that it would need some kind of hard drive and recording software built in.

DIAC, many new TVs have a USB port allowing recording onto a flash drive. Read your manual!

Lord Burns, you mean the new digital services only work during daytime? That's disappointing...

Lord Burns, I notice that your post was timed at 10.48 a.m. Why don`t you get a job instead of sitting in front of the computer all day?

@Lord burns - it seems that you're completely out of touch with working life.
Why would you assume that everyone would have to be working at this specific time?
It's a 24 hr society and that means that work hours could be any time 24/7.
How else do you think that engineers could be working during the night to upgrade tv to digital.
You need to GET A LIFE - and quit trolling!

Like Dog in a Cape, my tv appears to have lost Yesterday, Film 4 etc. as they are blank when I go to the guide. However, if I select the appropriate channel they are in fact all still there and after a few seconds the programm information appears as well. Maybe I need to retune again.l

I to cannot get the previous mentioned channels. Looking at the digitaluk.co.uk website it appears that these channels may be available from Heathfield or a new aeriel may be required. I have tried retuning several times and got more channels available but none of the above mentioned. Have also lost some during retuning, it seems to vary on time of day etc.
