Concerned about where children from Rodmell and Pells will go now. Are you aware of any at your schools? We have had a couple at Southover and they say to prepare for more.

It's a disgrace. Tory-voting chickens are finally coming home to roost.

The closest would be Kingston or some may go Newhaven way......

What needs to be done to "prepare for more"? Are kids from Pells or Rodmell likely to cause particular problems for Southover?

The kids from Pells are already moving - I hear there are some who have gone to Wallands and south Malling and Southover. No doubt the CC will allocate places across all the Lewes schools. Southover is expanding anyway, so they will likely take more than other schools. I suspect a few of the snobbish parents there will not be happy.

Wherever they live, whichever school they attend, they're children, they need an education.

Disgraceful stuff. Apparently, they can do this because they have decided that child numbers in the education area will be decreasing going forward. I guess all these new homes in Pheonix, malling and half the towns back yards will be for adults only? And that people will stop having babies
Half the tories don't care as it won't affect them, the rest got conned but hey.

They know the population is going to rise, they're just centralising everything. Battery farming of children is the progressive way to create euro man. The futures so bright, I've got to wear shades.

Dunno if you're serious or not so I'll bite. It's not centralising. It's a cut to services. More children in fewer schools with fewer teachers and bigger classes.

It's obviously a ridiculous move to close the schools given the expected population increase in the centre of town with the Santon development etc. What's going to happen to the Pells site ? Anyone know?
