Well having just read cliffes 2015 programme (which by the way took all of 15 mintues) apart from the obituary's which I found very interesting what is the rest of there programme about ? All I could really see was advert after advert and information about all other societies .is cliffes not suppose to be the biggest and best in the town ? Yet they can't find anything else to write about apart from other societies. And they can't even get it right . Waterloo first procession is at 17.30 not 17.10. South streets town procession is at 22.00 not 21.50 also there final procession is at 22.40 not 22.30. As for southover is anyone's guess but I'm sure the times are wrong as well. Also no mention of boroughs barrel run at 17.00? .I'm just amazed that they have got there own timings correct. I'll just finish up by saying this is the worst bonfire programme I've ever bought.

If you want to produce a collection of inaccuracies about other bonfire societies, the best way to achieve this is not to talk to the other societies.
And why don't they talk to Waterloo, South Street, Southover, Commercial Square and Borough? Because they don't want to be told that Cliffe's so-called "User Guide" isn't appreciated by the other societies who don't appreciate their own programme sales being sabotaged.
The Bonfire Council should get them to put a stop to this nonsense.

Any such guide should be produced BY the Bonfire Council, with proceeds shared among all the societies.

Southover have a great programme with some very special photos and interesting articles. A cut above and highly recommended.

No guide is needed. And it was raised at bonfire council last year and was told that cliffe would not do this again but as always cliffe just do what they want and to hell with everyone else.wonder how they would fill if others started selling cliffe merchandise. Maybe make a cliffe DVD and sell it next year. Or just a cliffe programme let's face it they could do with a decent one for a change.

I wouldn't be surprised if Commercial Square were bigger than Cliffe now in terms of members.

I have enormous respect for the Cliffe of history but if they take 5 seconds to look in the mirror they'll see they aren't the big rebellious annoyance they think they are any more and are almost an embarrassment. Other societies including much newer ones are doing a much better job of upholding the traditions of bonfire, and that's something Cliffe need to look at themselves about.

We could also mention the fact that has been discussed so often that we are trying to reduce the numbers of visitors , so there is no need for an event programme , let's face it most programmes are sold to members who know what's going on the others to towns folk that like to support the event , the first group will buy most offerings the second might buy the cliffe one and no one else's , hence the discord , I have all but commercials so far this year and out of principal won't be getting the cliffe one I'm sure they won't miss my £3 , they can sell mine on Victoria station to help swell their fire site crowd .

I can only imagine the Kangaroo court if that is true
Perhaps they might consider, as a society, getting a grip and focussing on what matters in Bonfire again. The all too often aggressive and arrogant attitudes of their members have long ago ceased to be a part of their unique character. It is now just tedious and predictable.

Hahahahaha, what a load of nonsense. No bonfire society would ever pull their programme after printing it and if the other societies feel left out why don't they just include some general info themselves? I've bought all the programmes already and if nothing else, Cliffe's is the most professional looking and has a fair bit of interesting stuff in, if a few too many ads. Any timings in any of the programmes will be wrong on the night once you take into account unexpected road blockages, different speeds of procession and the United Grand having to wait a couple of hours for Southover to find their way to the prison as usual.

Man under the bridge do you no anything about what your talking about ? There Is no longer a united grand .and when there was a ugp only reason it ran late was because they had to wait for cliffe to turn in the high Street. And make there way back to mordor.
