i agree it is very cruel. however if this lady has trouble with cats using our lovely garden as one big toilet i can sympathize (as i am a sufferer myself) with her actions. just to note i would not throw a cat in a bin, just throw water at them.

By and large I am an animal lover, used to breed dogs. They are responsible for the deaths of many, many birds, voles and other small creatures each year.

Not to mention the stinking piles of sh1t they leave in other peoples gardens ! If I went round to a cat owners house and took a dump in their flower beds or the middle of their lawn, then there would be hell to pay, so why on earth do we have to put up with their cats doing it to us? They are vermin and should be treated as such. At least (most) dog owners take responsibility for the mess their dogs make and clear it up.
ps. I don't like cats much.

Wasn't it dog doings that blinded that little kiddie recently? I don't remember reading a story about cat poo having the same effect??!! Oh and don't worry my stupid cats regrettably go in my own garden, how irritating!

I want to do that to my cats sometimes they are so vocal although they never kill anything as they only have about 3 teeth between them and only poo in their box in the kitchen. Well they are rejected rescue cats!
I feel bad that lady is getting so much abuse though, I can't imagine she is cruel to animals really just a moment of stupidity that has been blown out of proportion

If someone can do that to an animal and its seen as 'ok' or 'funny' I hold out little hope for our society. Maybe she pulls the legs of spiders for a laugh or kicks the walking sticks from under old people, in a 'moment of madness' - would that be seen as Ok to, just because she was 'depressed'? if you can treat another living, feeling creature with such disregard we are in a bad way!

Excuse me!!!
CATS are NOT vermin - they are used to control vermin (mice, rats) Evidence of coexistence between cats and humans dates back to 6000 BC.
Bisno (1997) noted that humans probably first accepted cats because of the cat's eagerness to hunt the mice that ate the grain products, without the cats eating the grain themselves. They were also used to help hunters. They retrieved birds from marshes, much like dogs. Fully domesticated cats in Egypt as companions to humans probably originated around 2000 BCE They were usually captured from the wild as kittens to be domesticated. House cats in Egypt were likely descended from the African wildcat and little swamp cats.

I repeat, I hate cats. But they have such a lazy useless life where they are forgiven anything I wished I believed in reincarnation, coz I'd love to back as one!!
And Pixxiecat, modern day cats are as far removed from the useful creatures you describe from centuries gone by, as alchemists are to modern day science.
Cats kill for the fun of it, crap all over the place for the fun of it, sleep for 20 out of every 24 hours, don't have to work for their keep and get spoiled rotten by people who probably fail to find the normal love of a human being. Like I say, I want to be one.
