Anyone know a good local carpet fitter? (Besides carpetrite). We already have the carpet, so the two carpet places in Lewes only do supply and fit. Thanks

It's never a good idea to try and pennypinch on carpets and the laying of. I expect you'd be the first to complain if the carpet didn't fit, I doubt you've allowed any for wastage, it doesn't always equate that simply. Maybe you should have lined up a fitter BEFORE buying the carpet.

Thanks for your rude and unhelpful reply! We haven't pennypinched at all. It's a really expensive carpet and now I'm looking for a good carpet fitter to fit it. Not sure what's wrong with that...

It seems Bert has nothing better to do than criticise the way other people buy carpets. My partner is a set builder and the carpet was used for 30 seconds in an advert he was working on. Now we want the carpet fitted. Simple as. I hope that puts your mind to rest.

Oh so he stole it from work ,,, would only be a cheap one if used for 30 seconds on set,, be silly to buy expensive one ? ha ha

Sorry Wendy but that is just far too straightforward for this forum. Is it a tory or labour carpet? I hope whoever fits it does it quietly. Good luck.

Sorry but some of these replies have made me chuckle, truth be known I worked for county carpets on the cliffe for near 10yrs, I've seen many a job that sound worse than what she is asking for help for. Sounds like a simple re-adaptation to any fitter. Offer still stands if you need a fitter

More's to the point, is Dave Pascoe a Tory or labour voter? And did he vote to leave or remain? You don't want him in your house if you have opposing political views, things could get messy!!! Sounds like you, Wendy, are a Green voter if you're using second hand/recycled carpet!
