Good people of Lewes (and the surrounding areas), I need your help.
I'm trying to organise a private party for the wedding of some good friends of mine and because the English summer has been so benevolent this year, the ideal location would appear to be somewhere nestled in the heart of the bountiful Sussex countryside.
Basically, I'm trying to find a field for hire, and I'm having trouble doing so.
If any of the sage users of this site happen to know how I might best approach this problem, I would be most grateful.
There may even be a slice of wedding cake in it for you.

Baxters Field in central Lewes with amazing views. www.baxtersfield.co.uk. It can be hired for private functions, easy parking/transport and great for any kids because they can run around and not get out. When you hire it, it is closed to general public.

You could try Spring Barn Farm Park at Kingston?

Baxters field doesn't have any parking itself and the street is often full but it's easy to walk to from car parks in town. No toilet facilities though. You can hire parts of Plumpton Racecourse which is probably a better bet for access by all forms of transport and facilities and it has great views. Try Plumpton college too, they might let you borrow some land for a contribution to college funds.

Avoid Spring Barn farm like the plague! Horrible money grabbers running that place. Cooksbridge is beautiful, and very reasonably priced.

We had our 50th at Spring Barn Farm and it was fantastic, and great value and the staff could not have been friendlier and are all local, so good for the farm for employing local people and providing a good local facility. Say it as it is I say
