Bought some British supersweet strawberries from Tesco yesterday. Grown in Kent by Sean Figgis, it was a variety called Sweet Eve.
They were probably the most revolting fruits i've ever eaten. Despite being a beautiful red colour, they were completely tasteless, sometimes rock hard and by no means the "supersweet" they claim to be.

Ever tried eating a durian? Taste like a combination of old socks and old fish. Nearly caused me to go into anaphylactic shock. Hope your strawberries weren't as bad.
