It was a great day - loads of people there that I hadn't seen for ages. Reasonably priced food, plenty of beer and loads of sun shine!

All the Cliffe players are not only paid up members but contribute throughout the year, as oppose to the majority who appear on the 5th brigadoon style then dissappear after prayers, not to be seen again until the next nov 5th. We won, fair and square, deal with it.

It was a fun thing not a serious sporting event so why get so concerned as to which society had who playing surely its just about the atmosphere. well done cliffe and all the other societies who took part. ( before anyone comments i only think that because im a cliffe member- i belong to a different society)

Key game was early one between probably two best teams who were in the same group - when cliffe beat southover 2-1 - good even game and no complaints from me about Steve. Pleasure to play against him and the rest of cliffe who had a bigger range of ages than us! Hope to knock them off their perch next year!
