At a local university I noticed there were rooms for Black students, and rooms for women students, and a male only prayer room which also had a sisters section? How is this inclusive or not racial/sexual segregation? On starting university I would expect to be able to feel free to go to any room in the campus apart from maybe the toilets of the opposite sex, but no, they even had gender neutral toilets. Yet I was not allowed into certain rooms because of my colour or my sex of my religion.

If you are talking about Brighton University, then nothing seems to have changed from the early 1990's.
Lecturers all raving Marxists, out of control.
I saw the Pogues at the Brighton Centre many times in the 80's - great fun and a great band.
However, one night in the student Union Bar, I was offered tickets for an 'Irish music' event in a Brighton pub. Was I interested? Yes, of course.
On closer examination and questioning of the seller; transpires the tickets were being sold to raise funds for the IRA.
Complained to the powers that be at Brighton - they made my life very difficult in their presence, from that day on.

Segregation implies that those people are being forced into this situation against their will.
Separation implies that those people have chosen to separate themselves from others for a specific activity.
You were not restricted from carrying out those practices such as praying, going to the toilet, or studying. Just not in that specific place or time.
You said you don't expect to be able to go into a toilet for the opposite sex but you seem irked that you cannot go into a male/female only prayer room? What is the difference in the two restrictions to you?

Words, segregation and separation aren't as different as you only. When the southern state of the US had whites-only waiting rooms, whites-only cafeterias, whites-only hotels... they were certainly ensuring 'separation'. And segregating black Americans into other waiting rooms, cafeterias and hotels. Would you object to whites only facilities at the university? All in the interest of 'separation' of course.

They are very different. Separation is people voluntary taking themselves off somewhere.
Segregation is forcing other people somewhere. So forcing black Americans to use specific areas, water fountains, seats. Not allowing them access to general use.
People taking themselves off somewhere away from where others are enjoying access to general use and the freedoms they have doesn't segregate.
The university still has the shared space available for all, unlike in America back then when the common space was for whites.
If the university wanted to create a room where only white, male christians were allowed to pray I would be fine with that. As long as they didn't take whatever the main prayer area (church or chapel) and stop others coming in.

This is what happens when raving lefties go too far. I don't have a problem with gender neutral toilets but having a 'black space' is encouraging division where it is not needed or wanted by the majority. It was probably white people who thought they should enforce this, not black people. White people have a guilt complex when they should just leave the situation be. Most black people are happy with diversity and want to integrate.
Next crazy liberal well-meaning leftie claptrap idea - enforced same-sex changing rooms.

You seem to be struggling here too. White people didn't force these spaces on anyone. Nobody is forcing anyone to go and use these spaces. Forcing people to use this and only this space would be segregation. People are CHOOSING to do this while also enjoying the common areas at other times.

Look it's very simple these days. You declare yourself to be woman then you can use their toilets and changing rooms. I have been there done it, without touching any knees, declared myself back again. However I am now extremely confused and I reckon I have a mental disability. Does this allow me to become an MP?
