Hello everyone! My partner and I are currently on the lookout for rentals in Lewes and so we thought we could post a little something here to see if you can help us out. If you know of any available flats or you rent one, please let us know!!
We live in Brighton at the moment but work in Lewes so we might as well just move if we can. We pay £875 plus bills for our very central one bedroom flat, something similar in Lewes would be great!!

Have you thought about trying the rental agents and / or various 'small ads' vehicles?
Bit radical, I know.
I somehow doubt landlords have properties to rent, yet decide to wait for a potential renter to appear on here as the best way of securing their income?

Are you being sarcastic? Is my post making you frustrated? Are you trying to help? I don't really understand the context of your comment. Thanks for your post anyway, have a lovely weekend.

I'm saying that some people, like those who see Forums like this as a good place to find rented property as opposed to using well-established rented property experts / facilitators, should stay in Brighton; we have enough odd ones in Lewes already.

Wow....what a sad little person you must be and so disrespectful too. You're literally using your time and energy writing useless comments on some random stranger's post on a Sunday...if that's not the work of an odd person then I don't know what is. Go away, and take your frustrations somewhere else maybe? You must be one of those middle age people who truly believe Lewes is the centre of the world. The world is bigger than that you know? And also, you don't get to decide who uses the forum and for what purpose and who lives in your precious little village. Mind your own business, get out of mine!!

Ooh, how disrespectful I am!
It might be a useless comment as far as you're concerned, with your expectation of finding the cheap, perfect flat in 'our precious little village' that you would magically unearth by bunging a cheery little post on this notoriously unhelpful Forum.
But anything that might possibly deter others from following suit cannot possibly be regarded as a waste of time.
By the way, why is Sunday a relevant factor in your rant?
And do you really think that double exclamation marks are a normal thing to use??

Ok not disrespectful just ridiculous.
Are my expectations too high? Shame on me.
Thank you for noticing , I was going for that cheery style. Too much?
Sunday? Oh well that's today isn't? I just thought it looked good when I wrote it. If you don't like it we can use another day, what's your favourite? Wednesday, Monday, Saturday? Mine is Tuesday which is the day I was born.
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Local99, why on earth are you being so unpleasant?
Minadamoon, welcome in my experience apartment rentals can be a bit hit and miss here. My brother found a great place on gumtree a couple of years ago - I found mine on rightmove. I grew up in Lewes, moved to Brighton but moved back for the same reason as you a year or so ago. To give an idea, I rent a 2 bedroom flat in Cliffe high street for £1000 per month. Happy hunting!
