Been there for years and years, but getting a bit fed up of the dentist turnover there, ....basically I get a different dentist every time with varying quality....are any other lewes dentist's taking NHS patients? or are they all similar in dentist turnover?

It was the receptionists in Albion that put me off so I registered at Mermaid, they're really professional and saw me quickly with a dental emergency.

Try North St - they're excellent.

Offham Rascal it's interesting that you say Mermaid dentists are 'really professional'. I was wondering whether you have ever been to an amateur dentist.

@ Gnasher. Big difference between being a professional and acting like one.

@Gnasher, I have found that the quality of dental care can hugely vary in my own experience, but I was talking about the difference in the way my particular registration was handled.
It was a curt 'you may be in agony but you'll have to wait three days' from Albion but a 'of course we'll see you immediately if it's an emergency' from Mermaid.
Sorry it's taken me a day to reply to you splitting hairs Gnasher I have been enjoying my life and the sun rather than being pernickety on this forum. Get yourself a strawberry mivvi and relax mate.

are they actually still in business?
I worked out that i have seen 14 dentists in the 20 years i have been with them. They recently cancelled my sons appt as the dentist had left but couldn't give me a new date. See the property is up for sale now!

I have never had a problem with Albion Dental. They see me quickly and the treatment I receive is always to a high quality. Obviously sometimes they are busy and cant see me on the day but they always give advise and get me in asap. I have noticed that the dentists do change but if they are hiring a new dentist then isn't it like all jobs where they have to go through probation and if they don't think they are suitable then obviously they will find someone else. I would rather hey were picky and got a decent dentist that hire any old tom, dick and harry just so there isn't too much changing!
