Accident on Uckfield Rd

Does anyone know what happened on the Uckfield Road this afternoon. Apparently the road was closed about 1.30 and as far as I am aware, judging by the amount of cars queuing in the lane behind my house at the moment, it is still closed.

There was a car in the hedge (facing towards Uckfield) on the allotment side of the road (i.e. it had crossed over) at 12.30. Plus a lorry and a Porsche. There was a lot of mud on the road from a tractor in the turning opposite so I think it had skidded off. It's still shut now and there were several maintenance lorries there through the afternoon. I'm hoping no one was injured. It seems like quite a major turnout for one car.
