Brexit is like a nightmare in which each fevered turn brings a new horror. Our budget as a country is blown apart, the pound is sinking towards parity with the USD, major Banks manufacturers are already planning to leave the rotting carcass . When that final irrevocable button is pressed, god knows what will happen. EU citizens can have no guarantees and Brits abroad are likewise fearful for their future. We are an international leper country, laughed at and pitied.
We face the single most serious crisis in this country`s post war history and with the Labour Party no more than carrion for insurgent right wing populism we are entirely without any government or opposition.
As we all now know the Brexit crisis was brought about with lies of every kind , Turkey will soon join the EU – Lie - we will have an additional £350m per week …. You could cry at the stupidity of it.
Experts, ( the IMF) predict growth falling 5%. I believe it will be far worse.
We are at the mercy of 150,000 bucolic Tories. If by some grim twist of agony the appalling Ms Leadsom is enthroned by half a dozen fat MCC members she will force through the most ex-treme interpretation of a dodgy referendum, blighting the lives of not only us but our children.
This could hardly be less democratic.Into the Brexit cup of bile, every kind of contrasting dream moan and bigoted hatred poured. There is a mandate arguably for action on an advisory majority of a couple of percent but no more than that .
The Brexits lied throughout in this crucial way, they claimed and are still claiming we can have all the stability and prosperity the EU brings without any of the pooled sovereignty .Fortunately reality will soon intrude on this fairy tale . The truth is there will be unhappy choices, none as good as the one we have discarded; but we can salvage much.
There is a growing realisation amongst the political class that they a will have to consult voters the real alternatives emerge. Otherwise there will be no democratic legitimacy and Chilcott shows how long the memories of the cheated are . Whether an election or another referendum, this is our chance to save the country .We must be ready, there is still hope .

It may surprise you but most of the world is not part of the EU. Most of the world trade with each other and the EU. Briton can trade like the rest of the world. Uncertainty, doom and gloom merchants are doing the damage. The vote was cast, like the result or not, let's get on with it, the future is in our hands. Let's make it work for us.
