Mondays:The Oyster Club for over 60s, (disability Friendly) @ Westgate Chapel
The Oyster Club is a weekly drop in group now on Mondays instead of Fridays, for people over (or nearly over) 60 years. It is a space to relax, make new friends or find some quiet time to yourself.
Come and do some art and craft, learn to bring a puppet to life, or have a relaxing hand massage and look at our collection of books/ magazines while you have a cup of tea or coffee.
The group is for anyone over 60, but we welcome people living with a disability, including dementia and carers/family and friends of any age.
There is a ramp providing access for wheelchairs and a disabled toilet.
It is run by Hannah and her husband Kevan, Hannah is an experienced teacher of art and puppetry and has worked creatively for many years including with people with all sorts of disabilities.
No need to book, just turn up. Please get in touch for more information.

Experimental Drawing & Painting Course @ Paddock Art Studios
Learn to play, experiment, be spontaneous, let go of expectations, embrace mistakes, work through blocks, learn lots of new techniques and have fun during this 10 week course. One student wrote ''Great teacher who inspires creativity and a very supportive atmosphere. I would highly recommend this class.''

Pilates Beginner/Foundation @ New School, Pells
This class is ideal for anyone who is curious about trying PIlates or has an ongoing back or joint problem that needs careful, regular movement. We focus on the Pilates essentials from breathing, body awareness, movment, mobility and focus. Perfect for those with busy lifestyles who suffer from tense shoulders and a lack of quiet headspace! Classes are run in blocks. FREE trial class for all newbies. Please book in advance.

Voiceworks Community Choirs are friendly, funky and folky - with professional vocal tuition thrown in!
No experience needed.

The choir is run by me, Haley Stevens, (Royal College of Music). I am a trained, classical singer and teacher. I teach easy breathing and singing techniques to help you find, and keep, your lovely, strong voice.

We sing folk, classical, jazz, pop and world music with rich harmonies and soothing melodies.

A spontaneous creative approach to painting that involves listening to the intelligence of the body and expressing any arising images through the medium of water based paints on good quality paper.

A specific theme and guidance is introduced in each session to encourage deepening into presence in preparation for your intuitive painting process. There is no right or wrong way, simply your own way and open to both beginners and experienced artists.Each week you will take your painting home with you, thereby creating a portfolio which offers potential for insights and reflections into your personal journey throughout the term.

Beginners Tai chi class. Suitable for all.
We are learning the foundations and principles inherent in all tai chi:
Soft, gentle connected movement, dissolving tension and postural awareness and the connection between mind, breath and movement.
The class begins with warm up exercises, then single movements from the form and finally the form itself.
