Preschool Dance Classes @ Ringmer Community College
For children as young as 2.5yrs years, our preschool classes are a lovely way in which to introduce your tiny dancer to the world of performing arts. Classes are a mixture of both balletic and urban influenced movement that focus on fine motor skills, flexibility and above all creativeness. The classes are often themed and use props, costumes and music to enhance engagement.

Children must be confident enough to be left in the class.

Classes run on Saturday mornings at Bonners Primary School, Maresfield and on Tuesday afternoons at Kings Academy, Ringmer.

Universal Dance also delivers sessions within preschool settings; please email if you would like more information or to book a teacher to visit your preschool.

Contemporary Dance Classes (ages 5-11years) @ Ringmer Community College
With contemporary dance studied as part of the school curriculums, attending regular technique classes will aid the development of physical skills, choreography and performance in this art form.

Junior classes prepare students for tuition provided at secondary school whilst Senior/+ classes are excellent in assisting with GCSE and A’level dance grades. Classes include Graham, Cunningham and Release techniques, floor and travelling exercises as well as time to explore your own choreographic ideas with others. Grades 1-6 examinations with the NATD are also on offer to our contemporary dance students.

Classes run out of Ringmer, Lewes and Maresfield venues on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 4pm.

For those who would like more performance opportunities, we have both a Junior (Spot:Light) and Senior (HED:Strong) Contemporary Company which students can audition for.
