Nick Pynn and Kate Daisy Grant




A concert in two halves featuring two fabulous local musicians. In the first half, a chance to hear one of Nick Pynn's legendary solo performances, playing old favourites from his back catalogue and new material from his album, Visions, Revisions and Impressions. Nick's multi-instrumental solo performances famously feature a live-looped wall of sound combining five-string fiddle, banjo, dulcimer, bass pedals, wine glasses, theremin, handsaw and other self-made instruments. In the second half he will be joined by Kate Daisy Grant to perform songs from their album, Songs for the Trees, inspired by the myths, medicine and symbolism surrounding the trees of the druidic calendar. Nick Pynn has performed and recorded with the likes of Steve Harley, Beverley Martyn, Billy Brag and Stewart Lee, whilst Kate Daisy Grant has been a guest vocalist with soul diva Sarah Jane Morris, God of Hellfire Arthur Brown and Mike Heron of the Incredible String Band.
