John Agard, Grace Nichols & Keith Waithe: Caribbean Re-Soundings




An event that echoes one of LLL's first events in April 1995 (attached photo from around the same time). Caribbean Soundings was part of our first ever programme of events and featured poetry by John and Grace, both of whom went on to win the Queen's Gold Medal for Poetry and numerous other prestigious awards and honours. Now they return again 30 years later to present poems old and new alongside the virtuoso flute gymnastics of Keith Waithe. Three Guyana-born Sussex-based artists doing their bit for cultural diversity.
