A small group developing confidence and exploring various techniques, with experienced tutors, in a supportive and friendly environment.
After attending this course you will have the opportunity to exhibit as part of Artwave festival if you wish.

10:00 - 11:00 A classic ballet class which has been created for adults of any age with or without previous experience of ballet. Most injuries/physical limitations are also taken into consideration during the class which can often be a barrier to people exercising.
There is lots of evidence showing dance to be a wonderful form of exercise for a variety of conditions and for improving your mental well being.
Ballet will improve your balance and posture, strengthen your muscles and maintain or improve bone density as all exercises are weight bearing.

19:30 - 21:00 Each Wednesday we will explore a plethora of acting techniques such as improvisation, mindfulness, character development, script work and method acting.

All those wishing to participate in our forthcoming variety theatre production will have time to explore different scenes as well as devise a unique piece if preferred.

This group is ideal for anyone aged 18+ and meets during school term-time from 7.30pm to 9pm in the function room (upstairs) at the Elephant & Castle in Lewes.

Barcombe Bootcamp (Adult Crossfit-style Fitness)

09:00 - 09:45 Adult fitness classes at Barcombe Recreation Ground, following CrossFit methodology and safe and effective body-weight exercises. Classes encompass cardio, strength and mobility and are ideal for those wanting to lose weight, improve health, accomplish better performance or achieve a particular goal. Sessions work for all ages and abilities, from complete beginners, or those recovering from injury to those who have been exercising for years! No matter your current fitness level, movement exercises can be adapted to meet your individual needs.

Led by Rachael or Jess, these mixed ability classes run three times a week and are full of open minded and friendly people!
To attend a class, just turn up! No need to book but please bring an exercise mat and bottle of water with you.
