Disgraceful decision by the management of the Dorset Pub to put a sign in its window banning hunt sabs a vegetarians today. As this is Cliffe bonfire hq I assume all Cliffe are pro fox killing and ban all vegans from Cliffe bonfire? I for one will never drink in such a bigoted pub ever again and will never donate to Cliffe bonfire. The Dorset Pub has let Lewes down by supporting killing innocent wildlife.

This may appeal to some of the clientele but it will put a good number off too even if they aren't vegan or sabs (me being one). I'll wait for the press release of Harvey's support for a community pub of theirs banning vegans rather than take your word for it...

@Green Sleeves/|Pedro/etc/etc - I have never been fox hunting or been a supporter of any hunt. I have may have fired guns but never at animals or birds. I do support the rights of those who wish to hunt however distasteful I may find it. After all I eat meat and no abbatoir is a walk in the park if you wish to quote cruelty. Halal is especially awful and cruel. I also support the right of the Dorset Arms to exclude those who are disruptive to their customers and also to exclude anyone else they feel with interfere with the smooth running of their business.
Why does it not surprise me that you come out with your usual sneery comment this one being "Hamid Barr supports the torture of defenceless animals!?! Lol." which is untrue and made with no foundation whatsoever and you also appear to find the subject funny.
I'd bet my house I've done far more for the welfare of animals in a fraction of my lifetime than you have in the whole of yours.
What a sneery little man you are.

I would say, looking at Harveys Facebook page, that these people from the Dorset will be looking for work very soon. I think mucking out the dog kennels for SDE hunt in Ringmer would be gainful employment. Or even better getting chased to near death with blind fear then ripped to shreds by the dogs.

Avoid this establishment if you’re a law abiding citizen who’s against animal abuse - the proprietor has made a public announcement that he is neither. Clearly this outdated establishment needs gutting and brought into the 21st century. Hamid Barr, how exactly do vegans buying drink and eating food in the Dorset interfere with the running of it? Seems to be it's the actual purpose of a pub?

@Bored2 - any establishment has a right to bar anyone they feel might behave badly and/or disrupt their business and their customers. Hunt sabs and militant vegans aren't known for their good behaviour - so they might well interfere with the running of a pub. There's an actual purpose for you

@Tom Pain: I watched the news and regional news this evening. No mention of the incident. Yes it's on the BBC website for Sussex news, and may have been on local radio. In other words, no licence needed. What on earth are you going on about, and why does the BBC get attacked by the extreme left and extreme right? It is highly respected around the world, and loved by the majority of people in the UK.

Because it is the voice of the 'hard centre', the cosy Tory-Labour-LibDem consensus that stultifies politics. The BBC isn't 'neutral' or 'just abour right'. It is a firm political position.
