St Michaels Church Hall
From Monday 9th January Ends March 20th
Tai Chi for Beginners & Improvers with Paul Tucker 17:00 - 18:15 Tai Chi Ch'uan is an ancient form of slow, graceful and rhythmic exercise which originated in China, where it is still extremely popular, often being performed in public parks early in the morning when the air is at its freshest. The style taught here is the Yang style Short Form as developed by Professor Ch'eng Man Ch'ing, currently the most popular form of Tai Chi in the U.K.

Tai Chi is sometimes referred to as 'meditation in movement' or 'swimming in air' for externally that is how it appears. It is a soft martial art, quite unlike karate, ju jitsu or any of the 'hard' martial arts which rely on force and speed.

Tai Chi strengthens our internal energy, and allows it to flow more freely through the body. It is gentle and non-violent, though after much practice it is an extremely effective form of self defence.

Wu style Tai chi 18:15 - 19:45 I will be teaching the Wu family long slow Tai chi form from Shanghai.

Tai chi is well known for improving physical and mental health by learning to move in a soft, slow, integrated way. This is done by connecting relaxed movement to the breath and mind, creating a form of meditation in movement.
Traditional Tai chi is a martial art and so the study of the long form also includes understanding the meaning and use of the movements within the form.
This is first done through learning the postures themselves and then later pushing hands, or soft cooperative partner work where the principles within the movements can be felt and explored.

Tai chi is ultimately about growth and evolution. Oh and its fun too.

I am a 6th generation disciple of the Wu family and teach in a traditional manor as my teacher taught me.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Coaching, Energy Healing, Massage, Reflexology with Jana 14:00 - 18:00 Book your introductory session of Coaching and Energy Healing for only £25 (45 mins)

LAW OF ATTRACTION COACHING

I believe we all have a very accurate inner guidance and that our natural inner state of being is feeling good. These are interconnected in the sense that if we can sustain the feeling of well-being more constantly, life unfolds in a more harmonious and happy way as we attract positive ideas, people, circumstances and events (Law of Attraction). My great joy as a coach is to help my clients reconnect with both their natural inner state of well-being and therefore with their supreme inner guidance, so that they - with growing confidence - become their own coach. This is usually a very organic, gradual, stable and steady process of refocusing towards more life-affirming thoughts and beliefs, whilst leaving behind any outdated, negative ones. As there is an increasing positive outer life experience to match these inner changes, it becomes a very empowering way of regaining and understanding our personal power in creating the life we want.

'Jana's 'Law of Attraction' coaching sessions guide me like a shining beacon of light 'back home', to the space within me that is true and enduring, and which is love.
Her sessions feel gentle but focused, nurturing yet challenging of my self-limiting beliefs, and always leave me feeling a new or renewed level of clarity and sense of hope.I feel wholeheartedly blessed for having met her and embarked on this stage of my soul's journey with her.'
N. L. Brighton

"Jana has been an amazing support in my on going journey with cancer. She gives me confidence, hope and encouragement and brings a wonderful calming and healing energy to our sessions, as well as a lightness and great sense of humour. I don't think I would have got through chemotherapy so successfully without her. I feel serene and positive after I see Jana and feel a sense of deeper connection to myself.
J.H. Lewes

ENERGY HEALING

Many of clients find that having healing can be very soothing when going through a stressful period of their life and people can also come for healing when they simply want a deeper connection to themselves, feel the need to slow down, relax and find their inner balance and peace. Healing is perceived in a wide variety of experiences, from deeply relaxing to very profound and spiritual. As a healer, I channel pure positive Source energy and initiate the healing from there. I also connect to angelic energies. The healing is both hands on and also auric – working on the subtle body (or aura). During the session I will often receive healing messages or insights which are always loving and empowering and support the innate ability of clients to make the right choices for themselves.

Testimonials:
“Thank you Jana for such a profound and transformative healing session. I was going through a difficult time when I came to see you but since having the session I feel peaceful, reconnected to myself and clear. The insightful reflections you shared after the healing were very empowering and have given me courage to begin making positive changes in my life. ” L.F., Lewes

“I really loved my healing session with Jana. It was so relaxing and powerful, I felt completely held, safe and in good hands. She helped me to access some clarity around life situation and I could see clearly from then on what I need to do. I found Jana to be a very gifted, gentle healer and would highly recommend her.” S.H., Lewes

“Jana undoubtedly has a special ability to read individual energy fields and to work with them in her healing. She relays her insights gently, in a manner that is always positive and empowering. A session with Jana will leave you feeling refreshed, uplifted, reconnected and just lovely” T. C., Brighton

AROMATHERAPY MASSAGE

For many clients this is one of the most nourishing and pampering treatments. A unique blend of high quality essential oils are tailored specifically to suit you and your needs. If you like the idea of a relaxing massage with exactly the right pressure for you and the beautiful fragrances of powerful and soothing essential oils, then this is the right treatment for you. Aromatherapy Massage can be used to support your health and body system and give you a sense of overall well-being and promoting emotional wellness.

“Jana made me feel so blissed out, and my body was so relaxed and tended to that I floated all the way home and into a most satisfyingly deep sleep.” J.A. Brighton

REFLEXOLOGY

Reflexology works with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands which correspond to different parts of the body. It is a unique method, including both massage and pressure points, performed on the feet. Stimulating these reflex points can then help to restore the body to its natural and harmonious state.

“Jana’s skilled and soothing touch melts away tension; her calming presence allows deep relaxation and healing. One of the most skilled therapists I have encountered, I would highly recommend her treatments.” A. M., Lewes

Meditation for Body, Mind and Spirit, Tuesdays 2 - 3pm 02:00 - 03:00 We are a friendly group of vibrant people who believe that our true nature is pure joy. We know that we all deserve a happy life and through the Meditation for Body, Mind & Spirit we reconnect to our true selves and access the unlimited possibilities for our lives.

The Meditation starts with a focus on the breath, gently relaxing each part of the body until a state of deep relaxation is reached. The next step is an Inner Journey, a guided visualisation usually dedicated to a theme such as trust, self-love, owning your power, freedom, celebration of your uniqueness, happy relationships, abundance and vitality. An innate part of this journey is connecting to our Guardian Angels, opening to their messages and their healing. For many, this is a profound experience. After the meditation session we pick an angel card for inspiration. No previous experience is necessary, all welcome! We are all spiritual beings having a human experience!

Due to our great working relationships within the Street Dance scene we are lucky enough to be able to team up with other Street Dance specialists throughout the year to offer our students workshops in specific training areas; artists we have recently worked with include Andy Instone from Urban Strides, Simeon Qysea from BirdGang, B-boy Mr Sasha & Mechanikool (UK Popping Champion).

The Writing Space 18:00 - 20:00 The Writing Space

Every Thursday 6pm–8pm
Friends Meeting House, Friars Walk, Lewes
£7.00 (£5.00 unwaged) – Book block of 10 for £55.00

A calm and welcoming weekly space for writers of all levels to devote to their writing. Each session will include 90 minutes of writing prompts and exercises to explore at your own pace, followed by 30 minutes of work sharing and group guidance.

Part of the room will also be set up for writers who wish to work on their own project in a communal, supportive space, free of distractions. The reading corner will contain a selection of short stories, if you are looking for inspiration or would like some recommendations.

While this isn’t a writing course in the traditional sense, support and guidance will be available. If you are new to writing and don’t know where to start, we can give you an initial 1-1 consultation to set you off in the right direction.

Refreshments will be available and it would be nice if we brought food to share in the group part of the session. When the weather is nicer, we will also be able to use the beautiful Meeting House gardens to sit, read, write and be inspired.

Practicalities...
The Meeting House is next to Lewes Library. It is wheelchair user friendly and step-free. It has a free car park (limited spaces) and is a five-minute walk from Lewes bus and train stations. If you have any transport difficulties getting to the session, let us know and we can see if anyone nearby could car-share with you.
