Depends what you want, the number of people etc? St Mary's and Lewes Working Men's Club. Spring to mind.

The Elephant and Castle and The Royal Oak have rooms upstairs. Malling Community Centre can also be hired out. Most of the bonfire societies can supply bars if you hire somewhere without a bar.

The Grange is a lovely venue for parties. Two big rooms, space in the entrance hall for a bar and a decent kitchen.

Thank you Mavis for your comment. St Mary's and Lewes Working Men Club were suggested because they can hold over 100 people, and the bars charge less than most pubs in the town. Looking at the age group and presuming that most 18 year olds may be still at school, and may not have much money to spend, cost could be a consideration. I notice you did not suggest any venues either. The Elephant and Castle, The Royal Oak, Malling Community Centre, All Saints, The Grange, Town Hall, Corn Exchange, Southdown Club, and St Johns Church Hall are all great venues and would be perfect for a birthday party. Teri it is up to you where you would like to hold your party. All the venues suggested are great places and will be very pleased to hold your party.
