No post today.I am expecting parcels and have been for quite some time.
Lewes sorting office number is 403150.
Apparently the best time to ring is between 9.00 and 12.00 midday.
Paid for parcels,(special delivery and maybe recorded?) are priority.
They have a huge backlog to clear...
I was wondering if it is worth me going to the sorting office.
Did anyone get any deliveries today?

I was expecting a couple of things from Amazon the week before last - they never turned up. Amazon sent replacements - they haven't turned up. I'm afraid to report this to Amazon again for fear one day I'll have three sets of parcels turn up at the same time. (After Christmas of course as they were intended as presents).

I had a delivery today of something I got off Ebay. I was pleasantly surprised as I am high up on a still snowy Nevill.

I also live on the snowy Nevill and received my parcel. The delivery man even walked up the hill with my parcel!

Yep I got two parcels today Suspect Amazon will get an awful lot of returns though if people dont get their stuff in time for xmas and buy substitutes from local shops.
I read they are putting on 14,000 extra deliveries a day nationally to get thru the backlog

Another day passes and still Royal Mail forgets my existence. I sent an e-mail to their 'customer services' to ask what's going on. They promise a reply in... wait for it... 30 days.

In very early November, the post box in the precinct was set on fire by vandals. Fact! I have the fire and police incidence numbers.I had posted an early Xmas present costing £12 plus 6 first class stamps(just to make sure). All this was relayed to Post Office via official claim form. The gift arrived at its destination burnt, sopping wet,and guess what? The recipient complained and was told no compensation. I ,meanwhile have heard Nothing! Great service don"t you think? I would have thought there was insurance for these sort of incidences.

Yes Olive, that was my question to Royal Mail - is it true nobody likes me?
