Hi all. I've never grown wallflowers before and have planted some bare root. They're looking a bit sad, as I expected, and I know they will perk up, but should I prune back a bit before first frosts ? Any advice lovely gardening folk ?

No, I would leave them, they will soon perk up and pruning them will result in less flowering nodes. Good luck, there my favourite biennial.
