Milliband says he will reduce tuition fees -good . But will he reduce the debts of those now paying 9000 pa by the same amount? In the spirit of 'fairness,' one of his most repeated mantras, it would be monstrously unfair if he didn't . We already have the situation where those in yr 3 or 4 of uni are paying 6000 less than those in year 1 and 2. Can this be fair? Also will the proposed banning of zero hours contracts have an adverse effect on youngsters working in the holidays /weekends etc to supplement their education? I suppose everyone will have to be a card carrying union member subject to the restrictions and red tape of the bad old days when the unions ran the country.
