For all those with firework phobic dogs, try feeding them a large bowl of cooked pasta or mashed spuds 2 hours after their normal meal but about and hour or so before the noise starts, its not a cure but it can help. it works on the seretonine in the brain and helps to calm things down. Create a den for your dog to hide in nice and dark, use a duvet to help muffle the sound you can also place cotton wool in their ears. Sprinkle lavendar oil around as well.
I love bonfire but also have phobic dogs, i use these tricks on them and it helps a bit to reduce the stress. Good luck to all bonfire boys and girls, stay safe and have a good one.
