I see a comedian in Viva Lewes thinks that visiting Lewes is like being in a town of stroppy 14 year old boys. Any thoughts?

You would be stroppy too if Boots is closed because of snow and a 'missing phamacist' when you're in desperate need for some Clerasil. I wonder how many teenage loves will never see Valentine's after yesterdays natural disaster which in turn leads to more testosterone? Be prepared for an extra bad season of stroppy teenagers. Don't say I didn't warn you!

I was going into Waitrose yesterday and saw the manager at the door telling two (what looked like stroppy 14 year old) boys they were barred and telling two others that they could come in but he would be following them round. But at least the place was open.

I thought Mark Steel's interview was the single best analysis of Lewes I've seen - stroppy and an inflated sense of importance. His reply to the question of how Londoners view Lewes was classic.

Where can this interview be seen? I googled without success. Thank you.

Absolutely - in fact the question 'How do you think Londoners view Lewes' was totally daft.

The Mark Steel interview was great, at least he was honest. Yes, Lewes can in fact seem stroppy to an outsider, to ask him how Londoners viewed the town did seem a bit big-headed on the part of the town to think that people that far away would really care. It's a nice country town about 60 miles from London but nothing more really, and the few that think that Lewes should be revered by people across the nation are just deluded. Shame Mark Steel's gig is sold out this Sunday, he's great.
