Just been on a walk looking for sloes. Found lots of bushes, but no sloes at all - have they all gone already ? or just not emerged ? Could not see any signs of young fruit at all. Am I too early ?
Anyone else found a good spot for sloes that is heaving with fruit ?
(And yes, it's to make sloe gin)

Just found a bush in central Lewes with larger sloes, but hardly any of them. I might just get a hip flask full.
