pledgebank.com - I just came across this and find it very interesting. First time that I have seen it. My fiancee will probably tell me that I'm sooo yesterday but she can't because she's asleep. Ha! I can think of some pledges like 'I will boycott Tesco Lewes, and tell the store manager why, until Paul the Duty Manager stops gazing into the air and moves his bum to collect their sandwhich/crisp bags/bottle rubbish from the Ouse river bank if 100 other people join me.'

I would love to hear other pledges from you lovely people out there. Knowing the people of Lewes.. Webmeister, we need a Lewes Pledgebank page! Can we have one on the site? Please.

Shurely this is just 'unproven getting things done' by pointing and clicking? Can we use the mouse to drag Brown into the Ouse? If not I think the technology should be invented.

SHS, you surely meant 'drag & DROP' ;-) ?

You're probably right, I can't keep up with all the new jargon. On a completely separate & off-topic note..... actually, see new thread.

I propose, that if we run a Lewes Pledgebank we shall not apply for Government backing and taxpayers aid to keep our Plegebank afloat but run it with passion, integrity, transparency and no greed. We may not borrow pledges from somewhere else, invest pledges in dubious pledgefonds and enumeration for Lewes Pledgebank contributors shall be limited to personal joy and satisfaction.

I pledged not to use Tesco's many years ago, and (generally) I don't. However, I do occasionally find myself in there - but probably only once in every three months.

I like BONFIRE NIGHT, and of course all the out-meetings which go on around this time - and the loud bang at the crack of dawn!
