Hi can anyone help?
I brought a car today and it doesn't have a tax disc I need to get one from the post office at 9. Will the traffic wardens fine me for not having a tax disc between 8 and 9?
I've got temp parking tickets.
Cheers!

They may book you BUT as long as you can prove vehicle registration dates you should be able to successfully appeal (as you are allowed a couple of days grace).
Good luck!

That's nothing to do with them - they aren't working on behalf of the DVLA. I work at a local court and I can assure you that you've nothing to worry about, as long as you get a new disc as soon as you can.

we do have a contract with the dvla, clamping, but it is seperate to the council contracts. It is a DVLA contract. They rarely come into lewes.
Also we can report un-taxed vehicles, but it is only reporting to the dvla. If there files say you have tax you don't get fined.
We don't actually fine people for having no tax, just report it.
