Sitting back in my lazy armchair in post-lockdown Sussex I think back to a peaceful time.
A time of NCP parking enforcement starting in Lewes. Can you believe its been 16 years already?
I remember the days of red uniforms and real men. The likes of 31, 19, 15 and of course 01.
Roaming around town in a pack pouncing on anyone who stopped for a second and verbally abusing them when they got annoyed with us.
Giving tickets down Cliffe high street. Meeting an insane pottery salesman that would foam at the mouth. Negotiating your way through junk shop customers and being told to "go back to Brighton."
Ah, but all good things must come to an end. Yes, sadly 15 died in a freak gerbil related incident, 31 now roams the streets, 19 is a fisherman in the Yemen and 01 of course is the current PM.
