Can you confirm that the menu for the Shanaz which is listed in the "takeaways" section is correct. Might treat myself and mrs FA to a chicken Dhansak tonight.

thanks webbo, it was a pleasure to be of service to you. FA, tell me what happened my freind and i will look into it, was the person who served you rude to you? whatever the complaint, write your order here and i will dig out your bill and see who served you.

Ali, my sincere apologies, i was being extremely picky. None of your staff were rude to me and everything was good.
I had a chicken tikka dhansak with coconut rice and a peshwari nan, my wife had a chicken tikka massala with mushroom rice and popudoms. We had it delivered.
The food was absolutely spot on and there was a lot of it. If i had to make any adverse comments, it would be that there was no heat at all in the dhansak (they should be fairly hot).
I'll definately be goingt back and i'll probably go for a sit down meal next time too.
Excellent stuff Ali.

Well Done Ali.
I had a takeaway last week which I collected was offerd a drink while I waited It took a bit longer than I expected so they sent me home and delivered the curry Ten mins later to save me waiting witha bottle of wine for the trouble all in all a meal for 3 all had mains poppadoms etc and it came to £35 quid a bottle of wine into the bargain can't complain and tasted mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Ps ALI my 2 year old loves your popadoms he used the ones from SM as frisbees they taste the same to me but kids are fussy.
On 12 Jul 2009 at 5:19pm FA wrote:
Gee...thank you. Maybe, on the strength of that post alone, i'll f**k off back to the SM where a Dhansak is served with a bit of heat. When i mean heat, i mean spicy heat not oven heat.
I quote from the takeaway menu
[ Dhansak, a dry textured dish cooked with lentils to a sweet and sour taste
MEDIUM ]
So shove that up your a**e

FA ur rite, dansaks are traditionaly spicy. we leave out the chilli so people who dont no its spicy dont get caught out. nxt time you order it, just ask for it to be madras hot. also you have every right to be picky my freind because you are paying for a service, so that alone warrants your satisfaction. all i would request from yourself and anyone else who uses my restaurant is if you have any critisisms, give me a chance by to rectify it by telling me. LORD LANDPORT your 2 year old has great taste lol! thank you both for your kind words.

Hi Ali, came in saturday night for the first time since all the work had completed, and wow what a difference
The staff were friendly the decor was lovely and fresh and just looks so much bigger, I think getting rid of all that greenery has something to do with that
. You were as friendly as usual and the staff were all smartly dressed, also the waiting area is very relaxed. I wish you all the luck possible and would highly recommend you to all x
