Rebooting the previous thread, which descended into farce, I've decided the best thing to do is to take pictures of these cars with the number plates clearly visible and post them on here. Then we can have a name and shame game.

While we're on the subject of parked cars, has anyone driven down Bell Lane in the last couple of days? They've put in the double yellows, the cars are all gone and you can go round the bend by the Swan without fear of crashing into an oncoming lorry in the middle of the road!

On the subject of poorly parked cars... Has anyone tried walking up by the record office with a pushchair? 2 x cars parked at the enterance to the car park. One displaying a resident permit. They park right over the point where you can walk through the bollards with a buggy. Not clearly marked Parking places so why don't they get ticketed?

That was not the original Townie posting above, just to let you know. I have a lot more class then to post stuff like that but well done for trying Tim.

The land by the bollards (the bit that's not tarmacked) is private land, not part of the highway, Guido, therefore the cars parked there can't be ticketed.
It was owned by the county council, but I don't know if it still is.

PUBLIC WARNING. The bluebottles were in Barcombe at lunchtime today, ticketing cars parked on single yellow lines. I have also seen them recently in Ringmer. They do sneak out of Lewes occasionally.
