Just had a charming exchange with the owner of the locksmiths outside the station. Whilst waiting to pull into the obviously limited passing place to pick up an elderly relative from the station, he popped out if his shop to manage the exit of one car and the entry of his friend while blocking me. When questioned, he says he owns the shop so he's knows 'what is what' and that I should sling my hook. I expressed what i thought of that in possibly too vocal terms. Really makes you want to support local business eh...

That doesn't sound very nice. Was going to pop in to get a key cut there today. Will continue on to the shoe repairer/key cutters, off Cliffe High Street.

I had a spare front door key cut there but the lady who served me had to make a call as she didn't know how to do that particular one. I didn't need to use the key for over a year later and when I found myself locked out because one of my children had taken my key, I found out that the new key did not work as it was the wrong size.

The locksmith in question is useless.
I have visited them 3 times in the past to get one key sorted.
Similar to the above, I got a key cut, got home and it didn't work.
Turns out she used the wrong key completely and had to phone someone else to find the right key to cut it.

Had keys cut for a job there. The cut was right, but they used the wrong "key" so the keys didn't work. Cost me loads of time, as I had to come back from Peacehaven to unlock for the plasterers.
Go to Cliff, but make sure they debur.

Well, a great business is made by great people, this means the owner should represent his business in the way he wants this business to be seen by people
