Police numbers

I reported last week that Ms caulfield was happy to include the news in her newsletter that Sussex had recruited 257 extra police officers. I now read in private eye that this is part of a nationwide recruitment campaign by the government to recruit 13,576 extra police officers across the country.
While my main concern is that I feel it would be better spent on health, education or roads and there should at least be a debate on this, the article goes on to say that even with the extra recruitment, the number of police officers will merely be restored to the level they were at in 2010 when the Tories came to power. Why didn't Ms caulfield go on to say that? The Tories don't only lie. They're pretty good at hiding the truth with omission as well.

The lib Dems were fully punished for this in the next election by being trounced. The Tories were rewarded by being given a majority. I'm sure many lib Dems regret that they did take part in the coalition. Are you just kicking them while they're down or bigging up the Tories basil?
