We currently have Yellow Warnings of wind and rain for this weekend and an Amber Warning for rain on Sunday.

The lower Ouse is currently on flood alert (Flooding is possible - be prepared) - the highest tides have passed but the heavy rain means that river levels and flood risk may be greater than seen in Storm Ciara.

The greatest danger to Lewes town is on the west bank, which didn't get additional flood protection after 2000.

Barcombe Mills is on Flood Warning (Flooding is expected - immediate action required).

I've attached a link to Flood Information website.

The ground seems saturated in the Ouse valley so further rain may well stand.

Fortunately Lewes escaped serious flooding this time, though many other places didn't. It's important to remain vigilant, as risks are growing all the time. Sea levels are rising at 3.5mm/year and accelerating, with the possibility of much faster rises if glaciers collapse. Heating of the ocean means more water vapour in the atmosphere and episodes of more intense rain - it's a double whammy.
"Don't expect to be protected from flooding, agency warns" is a front page headline in the Daily Telegraph this morning, "Homeowners should no longer automatically expect to be protected from major floods, ministers willl announce in the coming weeks. Under a radical policy shift, the Environment Agency will see flooding as inevitable due to the predicted effects of climate change.". This is of course a newspaper which has often used its influence to argue against action of climate change over the past 30 years.
